Lyndal Roper is Regius Professor of History at the University of Oxford and Fellow of Oriel College. She is renowned for her work on the Reformation, religious dissent and witchcraft and in 2016 published a biography Martin Luther, Renegade and Prophet which was hailed in The Guardian as 'distinguished by the excellence of its writing and research'. It paints a not always flattering portrait of its subject and his opinions but tonight's lecture celebrates his achievements.
Tickets for this inaugural lecture are free but booking essential at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/professor-lyndal-roper-celebrating-luther-tickets-35856969160
