Hans-Christoph, Eva and Renate Reiger are the three children of Dr. Julius Reiger who was Pastor of St Georges German Lutheran Church between 1931 and 1953. In the last evening event for 500 Years: German Protestants in Britain the Reiger family bring the politics of the personal to the fore with their stories and reminiscences of growing up in 'Little Germany' of those years. Their father's heroic network to support those escaping from the Nazis is just the better known part of the dramatic backdrop to their childhoods in Britain.
Admission Free. No booking needed. The exhibition 500 Years; German Protestants in Britain will be on show from 5.30pm before - and after - the lecture.
